Baby Prep™ Prenatal Sessions
The bulk of my work is in the forefront of labour and birth. I work full time as a Registered Nurse at St. Paul’s Hospital’s bustling maternity unit. It is a pleasure to be a part of one of the most momentous occasions a couple or family will face- the arrival of a their new baby! This is also a massive transition for most people, and preparation is key. This is where my interest in prenatal education lies. The confidence and initiative of those parents who choose to attend prenatal classes is evident in those first few days in hospital or at home. Helping women and their partners to start out informed and aware helps to minimize stress and is integral to their satisfaction with their birth experience. Education is power!
My approach as a prenatal educator is straightforward, honest, and relaxed. Your questions and curiosities are valued. The information I will provide is derived from recent evidence based studies as well as my experience and observations.
I am a world traveler and lover of nature. I am passionate about diversity and equality. I live in East Vancouver with my dog Piña.
