Would you like to be a part of the Baby Prep family? We strive to prepare families for parenthood by providing current, evidence-based information in a welcoming, fun and empowering atmosphere.

We are looking for a knowledgeable and engaging Prenatal Instructor to join our dynamic team. Our instructors teach group classes online to clients across BC and in-person group and private classes to clients in Vancouver and surrounding areas as well as other locations upon request.

All of our instructors are expected to establish a supportive, safe, and inclusive environment to serve our diverse client base. Our team works collaboratively, so all instructors are required to demonstrate exemplary teamwork skills and be willing to work together to provide the best possible experience for clients.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Midwifery
• Registered Nurse or Registered Midwife with active BCCNM license
• Perinatal nursing specialty certificate or equivalent perinatal specific experience
• At least 3 years of experience working with childbearing clients (ie. in labour and delivery)
• Completion of a recognized teaching skills workshop
• Must keep current on issues and practice standards in childbirth preparation, newborn care, and breastfeeding by participating in continuing education
• Ability to deliver educational presentations both online and in-person
• Skilled in preparing and presenting course materials in an engaging manner

• Certification as a Childbirth Educator or willingness to obtain certification (ie. Douglas College Childbirth Educator Program, Lamaze International, etc.)
• Advanced education in breastfeeding or willingness to obtain further education (ie. Douglas College Breastfeeding Course for Healthcare Providers)
• Experience using various online educational and communication platforms (ie. Zoom)
